Phyllis M Annett

Phyllis M Annett is a New Jersey artist, former Art Educator of seventeen years, a Professor of Art Methods at Caldwell University and Past President and Fellow of Art Educators of New Jersey. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art Education from Kean University, Union, New Jersey. For the past twenty-eight years, she has worked for a distributor of Art Materials in the roles of Art Consultant, Artist, and Workshop Presenter to Art Educators in many state school districts including that of the Anchorage, Alaska Art Department. Phyllis is a member of the National Art Education Association and has also presented at many of its Annual Conventions around the country. She has authored numerous published Art Lesson Plans with the addition of her own art work as examples. Now she can add that she is also a Dynasty Artisan where she will continue to share her ideas and thoughts with you. At the Hudson River School of Art in Beacon, NY she studied under Susan Schneider for four years and concentrated on the Classical techniques by the Old Masters to create both Still Life and Portraits in Oil using the ‘One Light Source’ technique. Phyllis is very much influenced by the Hudson River School of Art and its Artists who illustrated their profound love of nature achieved through exquisite brushstrokes and serene color schemes and compositions.
