Kathi Hanson

- Professional Artist - Teacher & Speaker - Published Author & Writer - Art Education Development For the past thirty-five years Kathi has traveled the world teaching workshops. She is known for her vast knowledge of subject matter and her unique special effect techniques in multiple mediums. Her workshops are as varied as the audiences she presents them to. She has taught at Art Leagues, Decorative Painting Chapters, Colleges, State Art Educator Conventions, and Professional Development events for individual school districts. Kathi has won numerous awards for her work, published over 80 articles in art magazines, is a featured artist in several art technique books, and her instructional DVDs are sold worldwide. Kathi wears many creative hats; besides travel teaching, she is head of art and education for General Pencil Company, does consulting and design work for several art companies in the industry, and when time allows creates articles for magazines. In her free time, she enjoys her life on the lake surrounded by nature, spending time with her amazing and supportive hubby, enjoying being a nana, and hanging out with her four grown sons and “the girls she never had" but finally got thanks to her boys, Jason and Cody
