I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, have 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I share with my cat Sophia and my art supply hoard! I have one room for painting and one room for Cricut vinyl/engraving /infusing work. I retired in 2013 from my day job as a Flight Data Communications Specialist at the Indianapolis Air Traffic Control Center for 29 years. I have been president of my Indy Decorative Artists SDP chapter and have held the office of Newsletter editor, Vice President and was the Seminar Chairman for my chapter for several years. I am now Newsletter Editor again. I taught the Original Traditions Education Program online for 10 years and am the originator of the online lessons model that the Art Apprentice Online group modified and improved. I am proficient in and teach in many mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolor, mixed media and papercrafting. Vintage, Retro, Still Life, Portraiture/Human Form and anything purple are my favorite genres. I had a blog and posted many videos. The address is www.musesanddreams.blogspot.com For 11 years, my friend Donna Harcourt and I produced and managed a weekend retreat for painters and crafters in Fayetteville, Tennessee in late August and then in Plainfield Indiana for the final 3 years each September. It was very inexpensive and was called PWFW-Painting with Friends Weekend. I am a DecoArt helping artist and have demoed for the company in Daytona in 2016. I have taught my designs at the Houston Art Expo, the WOC Expo in DC in 2016 , 2017, 2019 and the SDP convention in Daytona in 2016. I teach in Indiana and Illinois at SDP Chapter Retreats yearly and at my Indy Decorative Arts SDP chapter frequently. I have been published in the Art Apprentice Online EMagazine twice in 2013, and 2014. I have epackets for sale on the Art Apprentice Online website. I have a thriving face painting business with my friend Donna Harcourt and it gives us lots of joy year round. Contact me for more details for travel teaching at retreats or chapter seminars or for online or in person lessons. I always include some color theory with my lessons.
