I was introduced to decorative painting in the summer of 1997 by a friend as a pass time and I haven’t looked back since. Painting nonstop at the beginning helped me become the artist I am today. I started painting at the kitchen counter, then moved on to needing a workstation to where I am today with a full-blown craft room with a table, shelves, camera’s, video recorders, different materials to paint on and several hundred paints and paint brushes. I have been teaching myself different painting techniques throughout the years. I have also experimented using a variety of different resources such as magazines, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, photographs, and a whole lot of practice. I have been a published artist since 2006 and you can find some of my work in various magazines such as Painting World, Decorative Painting, PaintWorks, Painting, Quick & Easy Painting, Create & Decorate, and Coup de Pinceau to name a few. You can also find some of my designs in e-magazines such as Pixelated Palette and PaintingEzine. Rather than adapting to a specific style, I have used tips and techniques from various artists as well as my own spin on painting to become the unique artist I am today.
